Fun fun fun in the sun sun sun....

We are very pleased to offer parents with children of all ages the possibility of coming to the Mercantour to enjoy re-charging the batteries in wonderful scenery.

Good value flights (a must for parents' hard pressed wallets) are available to Nice which is just an hour away from our base in Berthemont les Bains. Even the French Riviera doesn't have to be too expensive!

Nice is also perfect for a dip in the sea, shopping for teens, or a glamorous night out at the beginning or end of your holiday.

Holidays can be enjoyed either with your family "unit" on their own, or with another family or adults.

Accommodation only

In Berthemont there are two gites in a large farmhouse which sits within six acres of land. It's calm and relaxing and perfect for a family wishing to do their own thing.

There's also two cats and two horses! Fantastic walking on hand plus access to almost everything you might dream of doing within a short drive - including the innovative "eco" pool in Roquebillière where you could spend easy days in the sun.

Your hosts are on hand to offer recommendations for activities, good eating and local festivities when you can all get to grips with rural life.

Our new look "mix and match" activity holidays allow guests to come and do their own thing, with options to hire a car in Nice, or to have transport for the week.

Comfortable accommodation, great home cooked food, and the choice to do as little or as much as you wish to do.

The full range of summer activities available in July and August (France remains focussed on its main summer season), and the winter over the Christmas holidays and February half term. For other school holidays we'd recommend our selection of superb walking holidays.

While the terrain is Alpine here in the Mercantour, there is no reason, of course, why families should not join a small walking group.

We've had very rewarding weeks with a mixed party of adults and kids (we do check to ensure that everyone is of a similar physical ability), particularly when there is a particular theme to the week - the wolf week being a great example of this.

Our walks are tailored to the needs of our guests on every occasion. Do have a browse of our leisurely or moderate walking holidays.
