Something new for 2010!
We will continue to offer a program of more traditional short breaks, such as the great Parcs sans Frontières walk to Italy, Merveilles Valley, Flower Power, Wolf Spotting, Four Legs two Legs and Walk On.
These breaks have been very popular with guests wishing to pack in as much as possible into their precious free time.
Increasingly more aware of the huge range of year round attractions here in the Alpes-Maritimes, we are pleased to offer do-it-yourself breaks, which include different components which are bound to satisfy anyone’s tastes.
Flying into Nice remains a bargain, and with little else to spend your money on, you can have a Friday to Monday break for as little as £250.
The breaks will be based in either the Mercantour (Le Boréon or Berthemont) or Sainte Agnès, and will include three night’s accommodation, full board, collection and drop off in either Menton or Roquebillière/Sainte Martin Vésubie. Take advantage of the €1 bus service, anywhere in the department.
Remember that these are provisionally Friday to Monday but needn’t be!! We will continually be updating our breaks, bringing in -

• Activities as the weather starts to pick up!

Prices are given as a guideline and will of course be amended depending on the content of the trip!!
Fête de la Nature - May 19-23
French nature lovers are gathering their forces to celebrate the great outdoors from May 19 to 23. All around France there will be special days, conferences and events. Here in the Mercantour the slant is on biodiversity.
We are pleased to offer walking days out on Aug 1, 8, 15 and 22, and Sep 5 and 12. Come and enjoy the Mercantour's finest for just €30 including a picnic. Itinerary will be decided depending on the weather!!

Itinerary
- Day 1 - Arrive Nice. Time out in Nice. Catch bus to Saint Martin. Pick up in Saint Martin late afternoon, transfer to Berthemont for dinner/accommodation.
- Day 2 - Guided walk. Dinner and accommodation.
- Day 3 - Guided walk. Dinner and accommodation.
- Day 4 - Morning – time out to explore Saint Martin. Afternoon – catch bus back to Nice.
Wolfing - 5 days from : £375

This 5 day trip has 3 action packed days "on the ground", visiting our local and acclaimed wolf centre Alpha before going off in search of their wild compatriots, staying in the atmospheric village of Molliéres, plus a day of leisure in Nice, before returning home.
Trip includes – Airport collection/drop off, & transport during your stay, 4 nights accommodation including one mountain refuge night. Guided walking with mountain leader. Entrance to Alpha. All meals. Flights not included.
Accommodation - days 1,2 & 4 at la Zourciere, Berthemont, either in our bed & breakfast room, or in our gîte (basis, 2 people sharing). Shared bathroom facilities - contact us for more details.
Itinerary
- Day 1 - Arrive Nice – pick up from airport early evening – overnight stay – Berthemont.
- Day 2 - Visit Alpha wolf centre a.m. – half day walk p.m.
- Day 3 - Walk through wolf frequented terrain to the formerly abandoned village of Molliéres – overnight Molliéres.
- Day 4 - Return to Millefonts via Wolf Valley – overnight Berthemont.
- Day 5 - Drop off at Nice airport mid morning – day at leisure in Nice.
Flower power - 5 days from : £495

Following a very exciting trip over to the Valmasque in early July last year – we thought we would give our guests the chance to get to Nice and enjoy some Mediterranean air, before taking the Train des Merveilles up the Roya valley to meet us in Tende, and......., carpets of wild flowers – great refuges – rock carvings, not to mention the incredible views.
Trip includes :

- Day 2 - Take local scenic train to Tende. Pick up in Tende. Walk out to the refuge through the beautiful Valmasque valley.
- Day 3 - Over to Fontanalbe – superb scenery, and the unique bronze age rock carvings of the area - overnight mountain refuge.
- Day 4 - Return to Casterino and down to Sospel - overnight hotel Sospel.
- Day 5 - Return to Nice on train. Free time in Nice.
Merveilles Valley - 5 days from £495*
