Take your walking holidays in Italy with us - no less than twenty four National Parks, and, apparently no less than 147 regional parks.
The Italian Alpine Club has been the principal force behind the creation of a path which would run from Trieste in the East over to Monaco, and then eventually down to the country's toe at Reggio Calabria.
There are other major long-distance paths include the Grande Escursione Appenninica (GEA) running along the spine of the Apennines and the Grande Traversata delle Alpi (GTA), stretching about 640 kilometres through the spectacular Western Alps, and the Via Alpina from the Adriatic to Monaco with no less than five alternative routes.
A customer request led us to our first trip to summit Gran Paradiso, and then to the region of Arezzo in the NE corner of Tuscany.
